With more than 27 years of experience in the dynamic and ever-evolving oil and gas industry, I have embarked on a remarkable journey of personal and professional growth. It's been a rollercoaster ride for my family and me, filled with unique challenges, and I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm deeply grateful for the exceptional mentors, supportive colleagues, and invaluable relationships I've had the privilege of being nurtured by as well as nurturing others over the years. Above all, I'm thankful for the continued health and safety of my fellow workers, the many friends, loved ones and myself who have shared in this incredible journey.
About Me: Sven Horjus, President/CEO
My journey in the oil and gas industry began straight out of high school in the fall of 1995 in Grande Prairie, AB, where I started as a roughneck on service rigs. Over the years, I traveled extensively, working in locations from NE B.C. to SE SK. During this time, I accumulated seven years of experience handling a wide range of service work, including gas, heavy and light oil, critical sour, under balanced, drill aheads, air drilling, snubbing, source and injection wells (H2O, steam & polymer).
With a keen drive to learn and succeed I managed to advance to the position of driller and relief push, ensuring steady work with Canadian Hunter in the Grande Prairie area. After the merger of Drive Well Service and Cenalta, which formed Precision Well Servicing, a Division of PD Ltd, I continued my journey for two more years before transitioning to downhole tools with Polar Completions in Grande Prairie. I dedicated myself to furthering my education, completing multiple courses such as Intro to Hydraulics, Level I & Level II Hydraulics, various frac and stimulation along with other training programs.
Throughout my career, my guiding principles have been focus, integrity,honesty and an unyielding desire for progress. In just 2.5 years with Polar Completions, I advanced to an assistant management role, installation of various proto type tools and a personnel field training position, which also led to a relocation to the Red Deer area. There, I continued to expand my knowledge, both in the field and office, gaining a deep understanding of the industry in other areas adding to knowledge base. This only strengthened the desire to learn and see even more.
Since 2007, I have had the privilege of working in various capacities, both in the field and office, for numerous producers, ranging from large corporations to smaller entities. My professional journey has taken me through roles in project planning, programming, equipment acquisitions, service provider acquisitions, and various different field executions. For many years, I have also served in the role of completion's coordinator and superintendent for 3 different companies. With each challenge that has arisen, I have embraced the opportunity to learn and adapt, consistently meeting the diverse needs of the producers I've worked with. Continued relations and professional support is my and our long term goal. We want to provide the best field personnel possible, problem solving services and help maximize your capital by saving cash and time anywhere we can.
